The Geest shipping line sails between Europe and the Caribbean. I’ve made a couple of models now that the company has presented to their employees on their retirement .
The map on the backing is of the Dominican Republic with the Geest Line Logo crafted from natural colour timbers.
I cheated with the country flag as I don’t have green timer so used stain for once in my life.The Sisserou Parrot and the stars were engraved in flexi-brass. Just too small and fiddly to cut out of timber.
I made one for them last year as well for an employee who was based in Trinidad.
